RGV Salsa Heat Wave to Host Dance Event

MCALLEN — Get ready to Salsa dance with the pros and the chance to win a scholarship as the RGV Salsa Heat Wave is bringing world renowned instructors to the McAllen Convention Center on July 14th. The event is open to everyone and three students will win a one year scholarship to local dance studios. It's an experience that's hard to come by locally as co-founder Melinda Garcia said, "These events are huge. They draw like tens of thousands of people in Chicago, L.A., New York. So, we're trying to do that down here in the Valley. Instead of having to travel to learn and see these people and take classes from one of these awesome artists, they're coming to us to teach those classes."
