A couple of Florida teens got creative for prom night making their outfits out of duct tape.
Becky Henkind’s prom dress weighs in at 20 pounds and is one of a kind.
Both Henkind’s dress and her date Travis Williamson’s tux are made from duct tape.
The two entered a national scholarship contest at the urging of Henkind.
The scholarship called “Stuck At Prom” has teens across the country and Canada creating formal wear from duct tape.
Their outfits recently became finalists out of 228 couples and they are guaranteed at least $500 for college for being in the top ten.
Their crafty designs have them crossing their fingers for the big win of $5000 each for the best dressed couple, but even if they don’t win, they have an unforgettable memory.
"I'm going to look back at my prom and I'm gonna say I wore a duct tape dress to prom and I'm the only one who did," Henkind said.
