The summer heat is bringing bugs out into the open in full force and while most bites are merely annoying than dangerous, they can lead to health problems.
Ticks for example are known to carry Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. The American College of Emergency Physicians encourages people to wear an insect repellent with Deet and check yourself regularly for tick bites.
If you do fine a tick bite doctors recommend sealing it in a plastic bag and sticking it in the freezer for a few weeks. That way it can be tested for disease's if you get sick.
