Free pizza offer spurs controversy.
A Houston, Texas pizza restaurant is giving away free pepperoni pizzas -- but only if you order in Spanish .
"Just say, 'Pizza, por favor,' and they will get the free pizza," said Jose Miguel Dominguez, who owns four Pizza Patrons in the Houston area. "This is a way to give back to the customer."
That requirement has angered some, who've lashed out at Pizza Patron on Facebook.
The company is no stranger to controversy.
In 2007, it promoted it would start accepting pesos.
Johnny Mata with the Greater Houston Coalition for Justice commended the restaurant.
"I think they should be commended for embracing the culture and the language," Mata said. "This is the most diverse city in America."
The promotion is on June 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
There are eight locations in Houston.
Each location will be prepared to give away 300 pizzas.
