CAMERON COUNTY — Warrants are being filed to seize property from delinquent business owners who owe back taxes. The Cameron county sheriff's department and a delinquent tax attorney are working together with the count tax office to make the seizures and county tax assessor Tony Yzaguirre Jr. stated, " I think we should know who was able to come up with the monies or not. Those that weren't, then the actual tax warrant will be issued. We have the warrants on hand and are signed by the district judge. If it is executed it is given to the individual and the property is seized." Brownsville and Los Fresnos are the first cities to be affected and additional fillings are in the works for Harlingen, San Benito and Port Isabel.
