Well, now some people are going to extreme measures to look like their favorite celebrities, including and illegal procedure that's leaving some victims sick, disfigured and even dead.
It's called "Getting Pumped" and doctors say it's becoming increasingly popular.
according to plastic surgeon Dr. Chukwuemeka Onyewu, the injections are illegal because they aren't safe.
He's now seeing more and more women developing complications.
Ashley says areas of her skin became hard and lumpy. For Nicole, some of her lymph nodes started swelling.
Onyewu says in some cases, people giving the injections dilute the silicone with other substances, including motor oil, that can cause Kidney Failure.
And last year, a woman died in Philadelphia when the Silicone Traveled to her heart.
Maryland U-S Attorney Rod Rosenstein says he became aware of the problem last year, when Federal Agents arrested Kimberly Smedley at this DC hotel.
He says she was Injecting clients with industrial grade Silicone, the same substance used for Furniture polish and mechanical equipment.
One of her clients ended up in the hospital after the Silicone entered her lungs.
Smedley pleaded guilty to use of a misbranded or adulterated drug. She faces up to 5 years in prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine.
