WESLACO - Knapp Medical Center will not be sold to a Pennsylvania Based for profit health care services company. The city discovered a deed restriction that prohibits the sale of Knapp to any "for profit" company. Hospital administrators say the sale is necessary for Knapp to survive. But the potential buyer Universal Health Services has now reportedly excessive a clause allowing it to walk away from the deal.
