City of Edinburg Donates Fire Equipment to Mexican Fire Department

EDINBURG — The city has donated some of the fire department's equipment to it's sister city of Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico  fire department. Equipment that was donated included helmets and boots which was more than ten years old and under Texas law any equipment that old cannot be used. Edinburg Fire Chief Shawn Synder stated, "This is equipment is still in fairly in good condition to be able to give to somebody that will be able to continue to use it and be able to protect their citizens."
