High school uses solar power to teach sustainable living.
One Connecticut school has made a commitment to going green.
Students at Danbury's Henry Abbot Tech recently won an environmental grant that they are using to harness the power of the sun.
The faculty has developed projects for their trade students to make the most of the $20,000 the school received.
The solar panels and a greenhouse are being worked on by electrical, carpentry and construction trade students to name a few.
Eventually everyone will be involved, with hairdressing students tending to vegetables in the greenhouse and culinary students cooking with the fresh produce.
