Valley veterans continue to push for a veterans hospital here in the Rio Grande Valley and their not alone.
State Representative Eddie Lucio Jr. along with other state and federal officials have been trying to advocate for a VA hospital in Washington. The political battle for a state of the art facility here in the Valley has been going on for years. Lucio mentioned with so many veterans in the Valley, a VA hospital here would eliminate trips to San Antonio for medical care and give those who can't make a trip the care they need and deserve.
November 3rd you can help veterans and politicians efforts by voting for Proposition 8, which will authorize funds for a VA hospital in the state of Texas. The constitutional amendment election will be on November 3rd.
