The town hall meeting arrest in Indian Lake is all caught on tape.
The Police Chief cuffed a 76-year old woman and she says he roughed her up in the process.
He says, all he did was his job.
Indian Lake Police Chief, John Chambers is hoping that this security cam video will prove once and for all that he did not use force or hurt
We made graphics of the video, so you can see better what's going on.
Here, Indian Lake resident, Eurline Atkins was speaking out against the Mayor for changing the locks of town hall.
She says, she spoke past her alotted 3 minute time limit, with one sentence.
Take a look, that's when, Chief Chambers went up to the podium to handuff her.
Now, here you can see, Chief Chambers escorting her out of the meeting into the hallway.
She was handcuffed at the time, and she claims she was bruised by the Chief.
Chief Chambers says, Mayor Barbara Cullum ordered him to do so, and he did not use force or cause her to bruise.
In this piece of video, you can see both Atkins and the Chief in the hallway.
Chambers says, this is where he told Atkins, that if she behaved, and calmed down, he would un-cuff her.
Atkins filed a complaint against the Chief with Cameron County District Attorney Investigators.
Atkins is now facing disrupting a public meeting charges.
Chief Chambers says, they are working on getting audio from the security video.
This so, investigators, can hear exactly what was said during the meeting.
