LOWER VALLEY - They've served our country, and now our community is trying to serve veteran Men and Women, by helping them land good jobs.
United way has been awarded a 100-Thousand dollar grant, to help Veterans in the Lower Rio Grande Valley find jobs.
The grant helps with resume building and interveiw preparation.
And It'll actually allow job seekers to network meeting one-on-one with potential employers.
Right now there are about 18-Thousand vets in the Lower R-G-V
Around 40-Thousand more are expected to make their way back to Texas, as the war comes to a close and a large number of those, will come back to the Valley.
This Program is meant to help Veterans transition back into civilian life.
