Purdue students travel to tornado ravaged Indiana town to help with clean up efforts.
Some college students are skipping the normal spring break destinations in order to help clean up debris in communities hit hard by recent tornados.
More than 80 international students from Purdue University decided to give their time to lend a helping hand to the people of Marysville, Indiana.
"I've never seen anything like this, it's so chaotic over here," said freshman Ellie Lin.
They spent the day cleaning up debris and helped to clear roads for emergency vehicles.
Most of the students have never seen tornado damage up close.
"It's kind of sad actually, because we don't usually have this back in my country. Just now when we were picking up stuff, we saw a photo of a family, and it was really, really, sad," said freshman Fatton Young.
