EDINBURG — The University of Texas Pan American reports that they are seeing students with prior college credits graduating sooner and with higher grades than those who didn't have any college credits enrolling into the university.
The report shows that those students with the college credits prior to enrolling at the university are eight times more likely to graduate in four years than those who didn't have any credits coming in. Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Services Magdalena Hinojosa said about the report, "Students coming in with prior college credits, leaving any other factors a side, shows a positive impact a significant positive impact on graduation rates and retention rates." The report was prepared by the UTPA enrollment service.
