Napolitano Briefed on Border Security in the Valley

HIDALGO COUNTY — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was in McAllen speaking about border security with Border Patrol officials on Monday.

The Secretary met with U.S. Custom and Border Protection acting commissioner David Aguilar and was briefed on the department's effort on securing the border. The Secretary will be meeting with state and local law enforcement departments and the media on Tuesday.
