A Cameron county jury deliberated less than an hour before finding a Harlingen man guilty in a murder for hire plot.
Jurors found the 41 year-old guilty of criminal conspiracy to commit murder. Sheriff investigators found out about the plot in a taped conversation between Bach and Mauro Sauceda in August of 2007. The men made a deal that Sauceda would pay Bach's back child support in exchange for killing or finding someone to kill his ex-wife Ruth Sauceda Jara.
Prosecutors say Mauro Sauceda wanted his ex-wife dead because he lost a lot of property and she moved on with someone else. Although Bach admitted on the stand he took $15,000 from Sauceda and he also testified he had no intentions of killing Ruth Sauceda. Sauceda paid $5,000 dollars to the Attorney General's Child Support Office to get Bach out of jail.
Sauceda pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and is serving a 6 year prison sentence and the judge sentenced Bach to 30 years in prison.
