American Airlines Bankruptcy Not to Affect Brownsville Airlport Flights

BROWNSVILLE - The announcement of American Airlines filling for bankruptcy is not expected to affect flights coming in and out from the Brownsville/South Padre Island airport.

Airport officials say the opposite that American Airlines is adding flights as it's ongoing growth plans and a airport spokesperson confirms that only those in the operations department, like mechanics, will be let go.
