51 Brownsville seniors now have a million reasons to continue their education into college and all thanks to the Broad Prize.
Students from the Brownsville school district received either a $20,000 dollar scholarship if attending a four year university or a $5,000 dollar scholarship for attendance at a two year college. The money comes from the $1 million dollar Broad Prize which the school won in 2008.
The students chosen showed significant improvements in their grades over the course of their high school career.
