We first told you about department stores offering free make-up to customers, here in the Valley.
Now the word is spreading like wild-fire. At least if the lines at the malls are any indication. News Center 23's Kenny Lopez battles the crowds to bring us the story. Two valley stores, Dilliards and Macys are offering their customers free make-up, cologne, perfume, ranging from 18-25 bucks. Customers are taking advantage of this great offer.
Free fragrances and free make-up at Dilliards have Valley shoppers lining up.
"When they told me I had to get in line at the front of the store, I went and it got longer and longer." A line which goes on and on and on.
Something which really wore on shopper, Mary Ann Flores' patience. "I saw no end to it, so I said forget it, I'm not going to do this." Still, many shoppers are waiting...all to get their hands on their freebies. This is all part of a National class action lawsuit settlement filed against cosmetic and fragrance manufacturers along with department stores. The result of this lawsuit is a 175 million dollar give-a-way, giving each customer one free piece of make-up or fragrance, while supplies last. Though, you must know there are only certain brands you can choose from such as Calvin Klein and Estee Lauder products. Store spokespeople say all you got to do is bring in your driver's license to recieve your free supplies. It's the honor system, only one per item. This offer lasts until next Tuesday.
