McALLEN - One of the key issues concerning Valley voters, heading into the Presidential election, is the current immigration policy.
NewCenter 23 had interviewed Republican Chairman Javier Villalobos about his disagreement with the Obama administration's immigration policy and on Sunday NewsCenter 23 was able to get Congressman Henry Cuellar's perspective on the law. Congressman Cuellar stated, "When you have a U.S. citizen, doesn't apply to an undocumented alien, doesn't apply to a legal resident, but a U.S. citizen that is married to an undocumented person or has children that are undocumented that means that they can provide, they can ask for that waiver and wait over here while they do that. That's really the only change to try to keep people together. So they didn't change the law, their just saying let's try to keep them together as they make that waiver."
Congressman Cuellar says he is a strong supporter of the law.
