It was a very emotional day at Cummings Middle School as it was the first day back since the shooting"
At 2:50 just before students were released there was a moment of silence for Jaime Gonzalez.
"Thank you facility for allowing that moment for that."
"Take care of each other look out for each others safety."
Police say Gonzalez was shot at the middle school Wednesday and died shortly.
Police say he failed to put down a weapon that later turned out to be a pellet gun.
We caught up with some students that knew Jaime Gonzalez. They said it was difficult to come back Friday.
"Very sad, very sad because he was our best friend, he was like my brother."
"It was sad confusing, not normal like always."
"In band the teacher cried because he was in band and was a good drum major."
There was additional security at the school Friday.
We talked with some parents who chose not to go on camera but tells us they felt safe sending there son and daughter's back to school.
