McALLEN - It's a David and Goliath story in Weslaco, as the community continues to fight to maintain the Knapp Medical Center as a non-profit hospital.
United Health Services is attempting to buy out the hospital and we spoke to one former nurse about a question she posed to hospital CEO James Somerset. Senaida Lopez said, "I asked him, I raised my hand up and I asked him, is Knapp ever gonna to be sold and he told me no. Knapp is going to stay Knapp, I wish I had a record or a video or something, He lied to the community and he lied to the employees of Knapp.' United Health Services owns the majority of hospitals in the Valley.
