McALLEN - Blood centers across the Valley are asking people to continue the gift of giving as we begin the New Year.
The blood centers help supply the eighteen hospitals throughout the Valley and officials say this time of the year is one of the slowest for donations because people are preoccupied with the Holidays. What also doesn't help is that high school students are on Christmas break and they usually supply the centers with more than 40% of the donations. Just one donation could save up to three lives.
