Customs and Border Protection to Use Ready Lanes for Travelers

HIDALGO COUNTY - December is one of the highest traffic months at our ports of entry and Customs and Border Protection agency is making it easier for travelers to cross the ports much faster.

There are two new Ready Lanes at the Hidalgo and Pharr bridges which will allow travelers with radio frequency identification documents to filter into the new Ready Lanes. The lanes should cut down wait time by about 10 to 20 seconds on each vehicle which add up to fewer minutes waiting in line.
