HIDALGO COUNTY - According to recent figures the housing market may be improving at lease locally.
The foreclosure rate is down in Hidalgo county and specifically in McAllen. A local real estate director say nearly one of every thousand homes in Texas are foreclosed, but here in the Valley that number is a little higher. Nearly one out of every eleven hundred homes are fore closured and the information was gathered from the most recent second quarter figures released in October.
