PENITAS- Felipa Garcia says she can't believe her eyes. The house where she raised her children is now gone. She says she has nothing left. Wo where for her family to lay their heads tonight.
The fire started around 9 a.m. this morning shortly after her kids went to school. Luckily no one was home at the time of the fire but now this family of 7 says they have no idea where to go.
Garcia tells us although she has lost everything. She's overwhelmed by the support from the community.
Even school officials offered their support to this family who already faces many struggles. The fire couldn't have come at a worse time with Christmas right around the corner. This family is going to need all the help they can get.
If you would like to donate to this family an account has been set up at the La Joya Federal Credit Union under the name "Felipa Garcia."
