Security camera shows driver looking at cell phone dozens of times while school bus is in motion.
A Deltona, Florida school bus driver is accused of using her cellphone while driving in Volusia County.
A surveillance camera onboard a bus she was driving caught Cindy Bischoff using her cellphone twice on different days in early September.
The school district said the surveillance camera was actually installed to check if the driver yelled at students after getting complaints from parents.
Officials said they were very disappointed that Bischoff shirked her responsibility by endangering the children onboard.
On September 2 Bischoff was seen on tape opening cellphone, looking at it for about nine seconds, then putting it away.
She said the phone wasn't hers, and that she was trying to figure out who it belonged to when she looked at it.
Still, parents said taking her eyes off the kids and the road was very disturbing.
On September 6, while there were no children on board the bus, Bischoff was caught on camera checking her cell phone constantly.
Bischoff said she was not texting, but was looking at a game.
Law enforcement said on the same day that Bischoff was constantly checking her cellphone, she was also speeding.
They said she was driving 55 miles per hour on 45-mile per hour zone.
