Border Patrol officers patrolling the Rio Grande river in Brownsville say they came under attack.
It happened near Hope Park after a pair of agents tried to stop about 10 people from crossing the river illegally. The group of people began throwing rocks at the agents hitting one officer in the head. That's when one of the agents fired his gun at the group. The group of people swam back across the river into Mexico and the agent was not seriously injured.
