In Brownsville, a father and son bike ride turns dangerous, after they were both struck by a vehicle.
Emergency Medical Services quickly arrived to the scene of the accident, just after six tonight, to take care of a boy and his dad, after they got hit by a car.
It happened on the corner of Tulipan and Southmost Road.
Patty Gonzales Tells News Center 23, her nephew, 4-year old, Jahir Ruiz and his father were riding this bike, when a driver in a van unexpectedly hit them, knocking them both off the bike, and to the ground.
She says, little Jahir is suffering from cuts, scrapes and bruises.
The boy did not need to be taken to the hospital.
The father is also doing fine.
Gonzales says, she's upset at the driver for not paying more attention.
She says, tomorrow, they wil be taking Jahir to his pediatrician to get him checked out.
Brownsville Police are still investigating the accident.
Officers, say the driver will be cited.
