BROWNSVILLE - Trustees at the Brownsville I.S.D. have named Dr. Carl Montoya as their top pick for the position of Superintendent.
The decision was announced at a board meeting on Tuesday as Dr. Montoya has been serving as Interim Superintendent for the almost six months. He mentioned he has big plans for the future of the district, "We're looking at opening a new program at our new high school, Veterans High, and the program's called STAMP. Which basically is technology, engineering, medical professions and those areas. Then the other big thing we're doing is to prepare to open our new elementary, Daniel Breeden on Dana road."
