HARLINGEN - Veterans Day may have been last Friday, but people in Harlingen are still showing their appreciation by holding the fourth annual Veterans Health Fair.
The event was held at the Harlingen Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic in the morning and it allows veterans to interact with medical specialists to learn to learn more about healthcare tips and services they might need. Event Coordinator Matilda Ybarra says the fair is important because plenty of valuable information can be gained for veterans and their long term health, "There are a lot of VA health benefit programs that we have and we offer so we wanted to bring that to the Veterans in one area. The turn out was really good. We had a lot of veterans here and they were really excited about the information we were giving them."
