Hundreds line up for marriage licenses in Las Vegas ahead of lucky wedding day.
Lines are long outside the county marriage bureau in Las Vegas, Nevada with couples wanting to get married on 11-11-11.
While November is typically a slow month for the wedding industry, this year is a big exception with licenses in hot demand for November 11th.
"Yesterday we issued 817, which is four times what we would normally do on a Wednesday. This morning we've been issuing about 90 an hour which is one-and-a-half every minute," said county clerk Diana Alba.
Alba says by some estimates the wedding industry generates $700-million in non gaming revenue every year.
From limo rides to flowers, Joni Moss with the Nevada Wedding Association knows it adds up fast.
"You've got the dining, of course you got shows. Banquets, hair and make up, and getting their formal wear. And the spa treatments, transportation and dinners and all of that is because they're here for a wedding," she says.
This year there's another bonus.
11-11-11 falls on a Friday, a three day weekend for many people off work for Veterans Day.
