Case could go to the jury this week.
Dr. Conrad Murray says that he will not take the stand in his own defense.
Judge Michael Pastor asked Murray whether he intended to take the witness stand Tuesday.
After taking a pause and looking at his attorneys, he said "My decision is I will not testify in this matter."
Murray's decision brings to an end to the defense's case.
Dr. Murray has pleaded not guilty and faces four years in prison, and the loss of his medical license if he is convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death.
Attorneys will present their closing arguments on Thursday.
