Gold's Gym - Brownsville Get Directions
The Valley AIDS Council is continuing to celebrate its 25th of Anniversary of Service to the Rio Grande Valley with a series of Community Events all across the Valley. The next event on the Celebration Calendar is a Zumbathon at the Gold’s Gym in Brownsville, Texas on Saturday October 22nd. There will be two separate sessions, one from 10:00 to 11:30 and the second from 1:00 to 2:30. Gold’s Gym is located at 800 Sunrise Blvd, just off of Expressway 83.
According to Event Organizer, Peter Coronado, “Zumba is a world-wide fitness craze, built on a foundation of Latin music and dance. The dance fitness program involves a variety of easy dance steps, including cumbia, mambo, and salsa combined with resistance training and fitness interval training. This Zumbathon will feature exciting music, great local instructors donating their time and skill, and lots of fun and fitness for kids and grown ups. You don’t need to know anything about exercise, dance or Zumba to participate. Beginners as well as enthusiasts are all welcome, this is fun for everyone!”
The family friendly fundraiser is $15.00 per participant, and includes a free t-shirt and refreshments for either the 10:00 am or the 1:00 pm session. Advance tickets are available at the Gold’s Gym in Brownsville and the VAC Offices in Brownsville, Harlingen and McAllen and will also be available at the door.
