U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers hit the water in Port Isabel, testing out a new high speed boat that they say will help with the fight to keep our borders safe.
The 43 foot vessel is advanced in design, is equipped with the latest technology, equipment and funcionality, it includes shock mitigating seats, four 350 horsepower supercharged outboard engines, electro-optical/infrared sensor, and day and low-light cameras.
Once the final vessel is approved, the CBP hopes to see these high-speed interceptors all over the country by the next fiscal year.
