As the search for little Lesley Estefania Perez entered its 25th hour, officers had searched for a different abductor than they first had suspected. Here is the time line of the abduction that police have said had happened.
Lesley went missing just after 9pm while playing in front of her home at McColl and Military highway in Hidalgo and officers searched throughout the night. On Wednesday morning they issued an Amber Alert hoping to have help from eyes across the Valley in their search for the 4 year-old. Family members spent the day posting pictures of little Lesley, hoping those may bring some leads in the case.
Law enforcement named a suspect in the case and found that person on Wednesday afternoon and after interviewing him released him with police saying he was a person of interest. Later police brought Lesley's friends back out to the field where someone abducted her and to help reenact exactly what happened.
