LA JOYA - The Border Patrol department is looking for a suspect that dragged one of their agents several feet during a traffic stop on Sunday night.
Border Patrol officials say the agent pulled over a sedan near Vela Jackson Avenue in La Joya and as the agent questioned the driver the agent reached into the car attempting to hold the suspect, but the driver pushed down on the gas pedal to get away. The agent was then dragged alongside the vehicle for a small distance and then fired his gun at the vehicle. The agent did not sustain any serious injuries but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on a white four door sedan or it's driver to call their tip line at 1-800-BE-ALERT.
