It was quite the scene as families were reunited with their loved ones
it was a hereos welcome as around 150 soldiers from the 370th Transportation Company returned home from Iraq. Their plane landed in Harlingen and they were escorted by police to Brownsville.
Family member gave cheers, young ones holding signs, and family members were eager to see their loved ones.
One by one each soldier stepped off their bus greeted by family.
We caught up with Victor NIeves Jr who got a big welcome home by his family.
"It feels amazing after being in Iraq for a year, its intense being in a combat zone it feels amazing to be back home."
"We love you we are so glad he's back, what was your first reaction when you got off the bus? I was so excited to see my family, it was amazing."
We also caught up with Sgt. Johnny Ram. We he was reunited with his wife, newborn, daughter and the rest of his family.
"It felt really good when we were rolling in on the bus and seeing everybody the whole family felt nice."
"It’s good to have him back, it’s good to have him back."
After a quick reuniting with family members gathers there things and headed home for a celebration.
