McALLEN - Job creation, that's what prompted Congressman Henry Cuellar's visit to McAllen on Monday afternoon to met with small business owners and entrepreneurs.
The meeting was to exchange ideas on expanding the Valley economic base and cutting unemployment which remains in the double digits, locally. The meeting was coordinated by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The Congressman also formally announced of a $10.7 million dollar federal grant that'll be used for expansion and improvements at the McAllen Miller International airport.
