A teenager, 19 year-old Ramon Garcia, has been arraigned in Weslaco in connection to a burglary and stabbing over the weekend.
Garcia faced a judge on Monday and was charged with aggravated assault, burglary of a habitation, burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest. Police had responded to reports of a stabbing on East 19th street in Weslaco and when officers arrived they found a man stabbed several times with a kitchen knife. Police arrested Garcia at a Walmart parking lot after an off duty officer reported suspicious behavior of Garcia. His bond for the charges was set at $275,000 dollars.
