Two people are facing drug charges after police discovered a marijuana operation in their San Juan home.
The bust happened off the 100 block of Deanna Drive on Wednesday evening after police received a Crime Stoppers tip that lead to an investigation of the home. Police had set up surveillance and detained some individuals who were leaving the home and found marijuana on those people. Police obtained a search warrant on the home and once they entered found several packaging items and synthetic marijuana in the home.
San Juan Police Sgt. Rolando Garcia stated, "Synthetic marijuana find point three grams of the synthetic stuff inside the house at the time of the search warrant. So it's going to be a first for us and finding on these guys for the new law that just took place."
Eliborio Sanchez and Gabriella Rosas faced a judge on Thursday and the bust is part of Operation Curbside where officers take down street level drug dealers in the city.
