Two men are in serious condition today after several suspects drove by their house and opened fire around 4 a.m. this morning. We spoke to a neighbor this afternoon who is pointing the finger at the victims.
It seems quiet in an Edinburg neighborhood off of La Paz Rd. but according to some residents it's all but peaceful.
Two men were victims of a drive by shooting early this morning. Both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A man who lives right next door to the victims says he's not surprised.
"I like to feel sorry, I almost feel bad that they got killed. but Idon't feel like when you ask for it, you're going to get it," says the neighbor.
According to this neighbor the victims have caused a lot of issues in the area. He claims the men have been involved in all sorts of illegal activities, many of which neighbors don't want in the area..
He even pointed out a shed with threatening words he says are geared towards many people in the neighborhood.
The neighbor told us he has no idea who shot the men. but says the incident should be a warning to the victims.
We contacted the Sheriff's Department earlier today and they couldn't confirm whether or not they have any suspects in custody.
