Several people from all over the valley came to showcase their talent this weekend in hopes of winning the big prize. A trip to Houston for the chance to audition for the hit show, courtesy of Newscenter 23.
The competition came down to five contestants but in the end there could only be one winner. The winner was David Garcia from Mission. He will travel to Houston on wednesday and cast in front of the show producers.
As a VIP from Newscenter 23, he won't have to wait in the long lines.
The four other finalists were also given front of the line access to the auditions. They too will travel out to Houston at their own expense. Anything for the chance to show their voice.

Register online before the casting call - http://www.nbc.com/the-voice/about/casting/
The Coaches WILL NOT be there - it would not make sense for them to be present as the establishing trademark of this show are the coaches making their picks in the blind auditions.
What a person will need for an open call audition:
1. Registration confirmation page with signature and VALID LEGAL ID
2. Be prepared to sing two (2) songs that showcase your particular vocal stylings.
3. You may be asked to perform a song of the producer's choice
