Even though the rest of the nation is facing hard economic times the City of Edinburg is set to create 400 new jobs within the next year.
City officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday morning to celebrate the grand opening of the Maximus Contact Center. The company will help local families seek services such as Medicaid, food benefits and temporary assistance. The company will employ up to 400 full time employees and about 120 people will start training on Friday. The business expects to be employing up to 400 employees by the end of next year.
