The United States receives more produce from Mexico than any other country in the world. For many years, the busiest crossing has been in Arizona but now Texas is the number one port of entry for fruits and vegetables in the country.
Mexico imports billions of dollars worth of fruits and vegetables annually . The amount of produce has forced companies to expand. Which means more food on our tables, more jobs and more income.
In the month of June close to 4 million lbs. of produce came across our borders. Business has been booming for small produce stands in teh upper valley.
