Senate restores FAA funding after tense standoff.
The Senate has approved a bill to end a two week partial shutdown of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Using a unanimous consent procedure, Senator Jim Webb called up the bill and urged that it be passed.
Senator Ben Cardin, serving as presiding officer, agreed and then called the Senate into recess until August 9th.
The bill allows nearly 4,000 furloughed faa employees to return to work.
