Woman disappeared after separating from her boyfriend in Oregon forest.
Search crews are combing the wilderness around Oregon's Mount Hood, looking for a Portland woman who disappeared while camping with her boyfriend.
Hood River Sheriff's deputies said 28-year-old Pamela Salant was reported missing by her boyfriend Aric Essig as they searched for a campsite near Bear Lake Sunday.
Essig said the two dropped their gear at a campsite around noon Saturday and got separated at the lake in search of a better overnight spot.
Air searches also took place Sunday.
Salant was described as 5' 3" and weighing 125 lbs with blond hair and wearing dark colored shorts with a dark red or blue tank top.
Deputies said Salant had no supplies or communications capabilities with her.
