Investigators say AWOL private threatened to attack Army base that was scene of 2009 shooting spree.
An Army private is under arrest after allegedly threatening an attack on Texas' Fort Hood.
Law enforcement officials say 21-year-old Pfc. Naser Abdo, who was AWOL at the time of his arrest in Killeen, Texas, was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Abdo was recently charged with possession of child pornography and fled his post after his first hearing on those charges.
Authorities found explosives when they searched his hotel room in Killeen.
Pentagon officials say he has never deployed for Iran or Afghanistan.
Abdo had applied for conscientious objector status, claiming to be a Muslim.
13 people were killed during a shooting rampage carried out by Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood in November of 2009.
