On Monday afternoon a bank robbery call was received from the First National Bank located at the 700 block of East Levee.
According to police reports, a man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect got away with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect is described to be about 5'8" tall, slim build and light to medium complexion. He was last seen running on foot down a alley between Levee and St. Charles towards 8th street. No one was injured during the robbery and no weapon was reportedly used. Police say the crime is unrelated to any other robberies in the area and are asking residents with any information to contact Crime Stoppers at 956.546.TIPS.
