Police say a toddler was found in the middle of the road in Brownsville on Monday evening.
Police had responded to the 1100 block of Morningside road where a 18 month-old child was found on the curve of Morningside road. The mother, Carolina Escamilla, was later located and charged with abandonment and endangering a child. Child Protective Services were notified and the child was handed over to her grandmother.
